Handle Extruded

Client: OLIVARI x KOBER

Concept: Door handle Extrusion - As part of the Bauhaus anniversary, 100 years of Bauhaus, Extrusion is a homage to the door handle by Walter Gropius. The design quotes the classic, but breaks it down into its functions through form and colour. The result is a minimalist door handle with a lot of expressiveness. The manufacturing technique of extruding porcelain gave the impetus for this design. The choice of porcelain as a material was confirmed by its ability to be permanently coloured. The penetration of the porcelain to accommodate the constructive metal part creates a field of tension between the two materials.
